Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks are attempts to make a computer resource unavailable to its intended users. These attacks are generally concerted efforts of a hacker or a group of hackers to prevent an internet site or service from functioning effectively or at all, sometimes temporarily and in some severe instances, indefinitely.
Distributed-Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks occur when multiple compromised systems are used to target a single system causing a Denial-of-Service (DoS) attack. Victims of DDoS attacks include the end targeted system as well as systems in the network path and all systems maliciously used and controlled by the hacker (or hackers) in the distributed attacks. When successful, DDoS attacks result in service downtime and great losses including short-term financial losses, long-term reputational losses and even permanent business disability, especially for businesses with core revenue generating functions.
Perpetrators of these attacks typically target sites or services hosted on high profile web servers such as banks, credit card payment gateways, government owned services and even root name servers.
How to make it?
Simple! folow these step:
1. Open Command Prompt (Start>Run>cmd)
2. Type in, ping -t -l (Packet values, max. 65500) (IP's of server/website)
3. Enter.
Note: The "Ping" command is to test that the domain are online or not. Every ping-ing that send to the server has their own packet, for Windows the ping-ing is 32 bytes every sent packet. But, using the "-l" option, we can define the value of packet. The "-t" option is mean non-stop ping-ing. So, the ping will run itself with the defined packet. Example:
>ping -t -l 65000 192.168.1.xxx
So, the ping will run itself non-stop. To stop it, press Ctrl+C.
i like to use CMD prompt than software that other people supply... thanks bro....
and can i ask something... how to know that server already down or damage?

First, you have to know something that DDoS is not working for all the time. DDoS will work properly when we are attacking to a personal server. So, if you re making DDoS on a Webs Server (http:80), when people surf that site will slowing down, and maybe the Webs will not show up!
