I think AI can be useful for reviewing an essay, but I’m less convinced that having it rewrite whole sections helps students learn.

With tools like the EssaysBot-platform, my main question is whether the student understands the changes being suggested. Asking why a paragraph is unclear seems more useful than simply asking for a better version.

I’d start with my own outline and draft, then use feedback to check for gaps in the argument or points that need more explanation. Sources would still need checking separately, especially if the tool suggests references.

How do others here approach this? If you use AI for assignments, do you find it helps you write better on your own afterwards?
